About Feathered Darlin'

Hi I'm Tammy. A wife, mother and simple country girl, born, raised (and still residing) along the New River in Giles County, VA. A lover of sunshine, places where water flows, or where pine trees tower over me. A dedicated Dolly Parton fan, and a self-proclaimed introvert who sometimes finds her way out of her comfort zone in a Tiktok video. 

Feathered Darlin' came into existence in 2020 as the fulfillment of a long-time dream of owning my own business. Having had previous experience as an assistant manager at a sporting goods store, I knew that retail was the route I wanted to go if and when I decided to take the leap into entrepreneurship. My favorite department was the clothing, of course! And my favorite task was merchandising. Presenting the items in a way that would catch someone's eye and make them want to buy. It was my creative outlet.

So, when I decided to take that leap in the summer of 2020, I did my homework. For over a month, I researched and learned as much as I could about e-commerce platforms, creating websites, finding the most reputable wholesale vendors and the licenses needed to make myself official. I built my website from scratch, started getting the word out on social media and set a launch date. I curated a small collection of items to start, took the pics, loaded them onto my website and made my first six sales the night my website went live.

As the owner of this business, my focus is of course on you, the customer. I want you to leave feeling satisfied with your purchase whether it be online or at an event. I understand the importance of trust, especially when you are investing your hard-earned money into a purchase. I am meticulous about what I buy and never dropship. Every item comes to me and is inspected before I place it online, so that I can ensure you are getting quality pieces. I also want you to get them as quickly as possible which is why I offer free local delivery in the county and ship your order the same day or next business day.

Additionally, I designed my mobile boutique, Mobilene with the customer in mind, ensuring that every detail helped to create a unique yet comfortable shopping experience.
